Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Breathitation collects, how it is used, and how you can control it. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

Breathitation collects only the minimum data needed to run the app.

  • Account information: Name and email address, provided by you when creating an account.
  • Session data: Breathing session history, preset preferences, and app settings. This includes streak data and session progress statistics used to display your practice history and progress graphs within the app.
  • Support messages: If you contact us through the in-app support form, we receive the message content and any contact details you include.
  • Device and technical data: Basic device information (operating system, app version) used to diagnose technical issues.
  • Push notification tokens: If you enable daily reminders, your device generates a notification token used only to deliver those reminders.

We do not collect biometric data, precise location, health records, or any information beyond what is listed above.

2. What we do not collect

We want to be clear about what Breathitation does NOT do:

  • We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not collect or process data using artificial intelligence or machine learning systems.
  • We do not track your location.
  • We do not collect data from your device's Health app (Apple Health or Google Fit) unless you explicitly enable that integration in a future update.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to operate and improve the app:

  • To run core features: session history, presets, preferences, reminders, streak tracking, and session progress graphs.
  • To manage your account and subscription status.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To diagnose technical problems and improve app stability.

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or share it with data brokers.

4. Third-party services

Breathitation uses the following third-party services that may process some of your data as part of their operation:

  • Supabase: Secure cloud database used to store account and session data when syncing across devices. Privacy Policy
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management. Processes transaction data to manage your Pro subscription. Privacy Policy
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Handle all payment transactions. Breathitation does not have access to your payment details.

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not authorized to use your data for any purpose other than providing their services to Breathitation.

5. Data storage & security

  • Session data, presets, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
  • If account sync is enabled, data is stored securely on Supabase servers using encryption in transit and at rest.
  • We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
  • In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you through the app or by email within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access: View the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct your information from Profile > Personal Details.
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from Profile > Personal Details > Delete Account.
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a readable format.
  • Objection: Object to specific uses of your data.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's privacy

Breathitation is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Service, please contact us through Settings > Support.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top and notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
